Apple Tablet PC to be released this 2010

The much-hyped Apple Tablet PC looks set to be unveiled later today, but how funny would it be if the device did not feature in their announcement. The time of the press event is at 11AM, look below for the time for your country. So let us have a look at what we know so far.

The most recent piece of news that we have is the fact that the biggest announcement from the event could be a Verizon iPhone. We know that the Apple Tablet is big news, but if the iPhone was allowed on the most popular U.S. cell phone carrier, then sales would be huge, much bigger than the iSlate, iPad, iTablet or whatever you wish to call it.

So if and when Apple does release its new tablet device, what do you think the commercial will look like. If past products are anything to go by, we know that it will be slick and polished. However, we wonder if they will do things a bit different this time round?

Yesterday we picked up on the fact that the Apple Tablet could change our reading habits forever. The reason behind this statement is simple; Apple changed the music industry with its iPod and the cell phone market with its iPhone, so why would the tablet be any different?

The biggest news of the week has to be what Steve Jobs was rumored to have said. The Apple CEO said that the iPhone is not as important as the Apple Tablet. We have to wonder what he means by that, but the tablet has to be something very special if Jobs did say this.

It could really be a cool device but I can just see it now, some peeping tom is going to love this toy. This would probably be a must have for all the spy wannabes out there. Sure, it was developed primarily for real gaming experience but with the limitless possibilities it can do, it may also be used as an instrument to bring harm to others. Well, let's just hope for the best.

Pico could even project an image up to 6ft if it were in a very dark room - depending on the source. This tiny Optoma model may be the most expensive and unusual iPod accessory to date. Optoma's diminutive projector makes a great traveling companion, despite somewhat fuzzy image projection. Powermat Wireless Charger

The wireless power business sure seems to be getting crowded these days, with upstart Powermat Ltd. only the latest company promising to free your gadgets from yet another cord. Unlike some similar products, however, Powermat’s system looks to actually be ready to charge your devices, with the Loews Regency Hotel Business Center in New York City the first to put it to use. While the company eventually sees its technology being directly integrated into various electronic devices (like every other company), in the meantime you simply hook your device up to a so-called “puck,” which in turn wirelessly picks up the signals from the power mat it’s placed on. No word on when you’ll be able to get a Powermat for yourself, but the company does say the system will be “inexpensive." (2007)

 

The newest versions of Powermat Wireless Charges were showcased at CES 2009. It can now charge up to four handheld devices at once. The device is compatible with most of popular electronic devices, including iPhones, iPods, cell phones, MP3 players, Bluetooth devices, PDAs, digital cameras, portable GPS devices, and more. Rather than introduce a slew of new flashy gadgets, companies are focusing on solving design issues that have been created by years of poor design. Apple’s New Nano - World’s Smallest Camcorder

Every year at about this time, Apple hosts an auditorium full of reporters and reviewers in California to unveil the new holiday season’s iPod/iTunes line—and yesterday was it.

There were lots of refinements to the free iTunes software, to the iTunes store, to the iPhone’s 3.0 software (now 3.1), and to the iPods themselves.

So what was everyone’s reaction? I tell you, man, it’s all about your expectations.

Already, there’s been a lot of grumbling about what Apple didn’t deliver. According to the rumor blogs, there was supposed to be a new iPod Touch with a camera. The Beatles catalog was supposed to come to the iTunes store. There was supposed to be an Apple Tablet, basically a giant-sized iPod Touch.

None of it was there.

What Apple did unveil, though, was a new iPod Nano model, which has enough new features to last for—well, until *next* September.

It’s exactly the same size as the previous one: 3.6 x 1.5 x 0.2 inches. That is, it’s a wafer-thin, rounded-edged slab that comes in 9 metallic colors.

But it now has a microphone. And a speaker. And an FM radio. And a voice recorder. And a pedometer that counts how many steps you walk or run. And a camcorder.

It sounds like a lot to cram onto a (slightly larger) 2.2-inch screen. I’ve taken it for an 18-hour spin, and this is how it works.

Can iPod clones benefit you?

iPod Clones - Are They Any Good?

iPod can be termed as a device which is used for storage and playing of audio files. Introduced in the year 2001, by Apple Inc., this device has an enormous storage capacity of storing many songs which may go up to few thousands. This device is designed with a state of art technology and unmatchable features and as such is priced dearly. iPod clones can be termed as those similar devices manufactured by other manufacturers which have identical features as an Apple iPod, but are less expensive, so as to provide affordability to the music lover masses.
There are many iPod clones in the market, designed by various top notch electronics manufacturers. They have more or less same features and design but are very soft on your pocket. We will discuss here the Top 5 iPod clones which are claiming to provide similar features as the Apple iPod and are also quoting at an affordable range.
On the top of the list amongst the top 5 clones is iPod nano clone. These are cheaper versions of the iPod manufactured by chinese manufacturers. These clone devices have similar design as the recent original model with a 2.4 inch TFT screen, touch screen, voice recording camera etc.
Then there are the iPod shuffle clones which has identical looks and features as that of an iPod shuffle. The clone manufacturers do their bit to copy even the packaging and imprint on it. If you do not look at its price sticker, at the first glance you are sure to mistake it for the original model. The clone devies are available at a price tag of about $15 which is a fraction of the original iPod shuffle. With the huge price difference, few features if missing from the clone can be easily ignored.
Next is the chinese clone of iPod touch. Apart from the icons on the screen, the looks are otherwise more or less same as the original iPod. They come with a 2 GB internal memory, a 2.8 inch touch screen and are able to support audio and video images in JPEG format. At a price tag of around $100, the iPod touch clones even have some additional features than the original iPod touch such as a built in speaker, microphone and a FM tuner.
Last in the iPod clone category which is also the latest favorite amongst the music loving section is the MP4 iPod clone which is a look alike of the second generation of iPod nano from Apple. Esolo has priced it at $40, with a storage capacity of 2GB. With similar features to play audio and video media formats, it also has a voice recorder and a FM tuner.
However, with the difference in the price tag, it will not be justified to flatly say that clones are no different than the original ones. There is a definite difference between the audio and video quality. However, some generics or Clones have additional features such as FM tuner which comes at an additional cost of $50 in an Apple iPod. With the price tag being less than half the original it is not a bad deal to buy an iPod clone instead of an original one as the features are basically the same and the pocket pinch much lesser.
